Saddle Rider Endpins 10mm
Endpins are the easiest way to modify your instrument's sound. You can make a noticeable difference in just seconds by switching them out. Saddle Rider endpins are a high-quality, budget-friendly option for musicians looking to upgrade their sound without a premium price tag. Each endpin material offers a unique sound quality, though it will vary from cello to cello.
Carbon fiber endpins tend to draw a warmer, rounder sound out of an instrument.
- Good for instruments that need "taming" or musicians seeking a more focused sound.
- The lightest of all the materials available.
- Can only be used with endpin collars that put pressure all around the rod, for example Bender, New Harmony or Saddle Rider Vector Mount. Do not use with endpin collars such as ULSA mounts. The screw can damage the carbon fiber over time and cause the endpin to fail.
Brass can boost bass and the mid range frequencies. Adds a richness to the lower registers.
- Good for cellos that sound thin and lack some depth in the C and G strings.
- The heavy weight of the endpin can be a turn off for some musicians but the sound for many is worth the weight.
Aluminum can be bright and punch. Its very resonant but can sometimes perceived as brittle if the instrument is already bright.
- Good for dark sounding cellos, or instruments that sound muffled.
Steel, good ol' steel. It is the standard "neutral" choice. It generally provides stability and brilliance with solid, traditional projection.
- Good for musicians that want a reliable, balance sound that do not want their sound to lean too far into either the warm or bright spectrum of sound.
Titanium is generally is the loudest of the all the materials. It gives the maximum resonance and overtones.
- Good for musicians that want to unlock the full harmonic potential of their instrument.
