The GEWA Air 3.9 is the case serious cellists reach for when their instrument goes everywhere they do. Handmade in Germany, it pairs a specially developed thermoplastic shell — enormously break-resistant yet just 3.9 kg (8.6 lbs) — with GEWA's Air Shell Technology, which absorbs impacts through slight deformation and insulates your cello against temperature swings.

Inside, a padded, custom-fit suspension system cradles your cello in velvet plush, with an aluminum bar shielding the bridge. A combination lock plus three GEWA special locks keep everything secure. Two neoprene rucksack straps with a security strap and hand-made genuine leather handles make carrying comfortable, and a detachable accessory compartment keeps rosin, strings, and tools organized.

Available in 13 exterior/interior color combinations. Sized for 4/4 but can accommodate 7/8 as well.
