An Oldy But Goody

Dominants for violin remain a good choice for many, especially on instruments requiring less tension, including older violins. Yes, the Dominant set has less homogeneity than more modern sets. Yes, do substitute your favorite E string for Dominant's sub-par Es. But I'm still amazed that a string developed 50 years ago is still relevant and widely-used today. Also a good value.
